Our Story - Urim Shalom Trust

Urim Shalom Trust (UST) was founded in 2019 by Ayibongwinkosi Dube, widely known as Shalom Man - a passionate philanthropist, evangelistic preacher, advocate for people with disabilities, and climate justice & faith activist. From a young age, he knew he was called to live a life of service above self - dedicating his time to aiding the vulnerable, standing for justice, and inspiring hope through faith-filled action. 

A Vision Led by Faith & Purpose

With over a decade of preaching the Gospel, Shalom Man’s ministry has reached many lives through his Shalom Daily teachings. His belief in compassion, justice, and transformation led him to establish UST as a vehicle for humanitarian aid, faith-based empowerment, and environmental restoration.

"No one told me or inspired me to start a nonprofit organization. I can confidently say that I heard God’s voice leading me into this mission. That’s why, despite the struggles and obstacles I’ve encountered along the way, I have never given up and never will. The One who is in me is greater than any challenge in this world. When storms come, I find courage in pressing on - challenges only make me stronger."

Faith & Climate Justice – A United Calling

While deepening his faith-based activism, Shalom Man pursued studies in Climate Justice & Faith Activism at California Lutheran University. This ignited his passion for creation care, shaping UST’s mission to not only help people but also protect the planet.

"I believe that our responsibility to care for humanity must include stewardship of the environment - because justice for people is incomplete without justice for creation."

This revelation led to the inclusion of environmental care as a focus area at UST, alongside its humanitarian and social justice efforts.
